I'm jefe's brother aka 4-bro (the one with the OUTFITTER!). On the way home from the HIGH SIERRA HIGH XTC trip, Krys and I stopped off at Cinder road (off hwy. 395)to check out the falls. The signs say the last time the volcano erupted was a half million years ago. About 12k years ago the area had a lot of water flowing which created some cool formations. Most people just drive by, but if you ever have the time, the 1/4 mile hike to the falls is worth it.
