Apr 03, 2018On a 3+, I'm in the center lane. For some reason merging is one of the most difficult concepts for the driving public to grasp. You either speed up or slow down, but two vehicles can't enter the same lane at the same time. I avoid the conflict by staying in the center lane. Often times the center lane is the through lane which is the lane I need to be in more often than not. It also helps decrease the amount of times I need switch lanes to avoid things like exit only exits and congestion for exits.
I don't really care if people pass me on the right. If I'm driving 65 mph in a 70 mph then I'm already doing 93% of the speed limit and well above the minimum. It's a speed limit. It's not the speed requirement, suggestion, recommendation, or a minimum. It's a limit on how fast you can travel over this section of road. So if I'm not driving fast enough for you or you need to drive faster than the speed limit, then feel free to pass. There's a lane left open to the left for you. The fools choose to do it on the right.
