Dry weight means no water, propane, battery, or options. 40 gallons of water is 320#, 40# for propane 50% for battery totals 410#. AC is 70#, microwave is 20#, TV is another 20# (antenna, amp, tv, mount) so there adds up another 110#.
So basically, just the camper is 2,920#.
Then you have your gear which will be at least 500#. Yes, it adds up very quick. I'm a very light packer, but still managed about 500# of stuff just inside the camper.
Now other question is how many people were in the truck. You and your wife is probably 350#?
Then lets not forget about the tie downs. Probably about 100#. Did you have a spray in bed liner (factory or after market), if so, add another 50#. Rubber bed mat, add another 75#. This adds another 225#.
So where are we at now? If my math is now, that's a total 3,995#. And we haven't even gotten to did you have a dog, kids, grill, chairs, leveling boards, etc in the back seat?
Bottom line, yep adds up very fast, faster than most people think.
