I don’t think anyone says that. First, it does nothing for the GVWR. I think that’s what you meant not GVW.
Many SRW rear axles are rated at over 9000 lbs which you’ll never hit with stock tires. Adding F/G rated 19.5s on can bring your tires up to that rating assuming they are aired at the correct inflation which will in effect give you room on the rear axle weight but also won’t raise the RAWR because that’s a number the manufacturer controls as well.
I respectfully disagree , I think many on here think just that way . They address a know weak link , mainly tires because they are easy , and forget the rest of the suspension like wheels and brakes and bearings . From the number of post on spring helpers it seems stock springs are not up to task . I did mean GVW since so many ignore GVWR . It’s not that it can’t be done and be ok but all the elements need to be addressed .
