I think our old AF 1150 overhung about the same as our new camper.
What size is your hitch? Info below will require a 2-1/2"
I got the 48" Reese and cut it down due to hitting the spare (and not needing any extra weight) and drilled a new pin hole so that it was flush to the end of the camper. I don't recall the length but you can always shorten a longer hitch. They may even be heavier construction that the shorter ones. Ours has a second tube steel inside the outer at the section. It is not light.
The angled chain has since been moved up towards the end of the receiver. As I have learned flat towing, while there is no vertical weight on the hitch the horizontal loads of the towed vehicle are strong.
