Comparing the 2kw Honda to a 3100 Champion?? I don't get it?
Me, I'd go with the Champ. It'll run probably even a 15k btu a/c unit the 2kw Honda might run a 13.5k btu unit.
The Champ is bigger, bigger engine etc so on the same load the 2kw Honda can run the Champ should be less stressed and for that reason, make "less" noise.
Just my thoughts. I have an open frame 3kw Champ and a 1kw Honda inverter but I'd never compare the two of them unless I was just charging my batteries.
