I strap a Kryptonite cable lock tight around the body of my Honda 2000 and the feed another one through it to whatever I am locking to. The cables I have would need a power cutter break them, a bolt cutter won't work.
Not to say the genny can't be stolen but the cables offer a greater deterrent.
