honda genny theft deterrent apparatus

Anybody have the theft deterrent device that goes on the honda eu2000 to keep someone from cutting the handle and stealing the genny? if so does it really work? seems to me that if it attached to the handle by screwing on, then it could be removed via the same way.

    I always put a bicycle U lock through the handle & my bumper. Never heard of anyone cutting the handle. Seems like a noticable task. I will keep my U lock and insurance policy. Guess if they want it they will get it.
