You will *NOT* get 10MPG with a gas engine towing 10K, period. Not gonna happen.
But if you're like me and only put an average of 2500 miles a year on the vehicle, the extra gas will seem like a pittance compared to the upfront cost of a diesel truck.
You really need to drive the snot out of a truck to be able to justify a diesel. Not that a diesel necessarily needs to be justified. You can get one because you simply *WANT* one.
