I know you like the motorcycle wheeled trailer because it's light and can be folded up. But that 250 lb limit is going to get you. What about this Harbor Freight trailer? It only weighs 130 pounds so you can probably flip it on it's side or stand it up on end when stored. Link
It has an 850 pound capacity, and only cost $185. I would of course buy a spare tire and probably repack the bearings before towing it. But, at $185 you can probably afford to just throw new bearings and tires at it out of the box and still be dollars ahead.
