Sounds about right for a gas truck! Chances are you have the 3.42 gears though with the tow pkg.
What gear do you drive in?
You're right.. it's the 3.42 gears... Don't know what I was thinking.
I have been driving in 6th gear.. not shifting it into manual. Only my third trip with this truck. So, maybe I should try M5 and see if that helps at all. I guess I was thinking that letting it run in 6th, as long as the transmission wasn't over-working/over-heating, that the lower RPM's would help gas mileage.
Thanks for all the posts and the info folks. I don't really want to trade the truck. At least not right now. Maybe when I do more cross country and more hilly terrain on a normal basis, I might change. But sounds like upping the truck really won't buy me as much. I just don't like stopping after 200 miles for a tank of gas. I'd much rather get closer to 300 per tank, but it is what it is I reckon.
