The depreciation alone moving from what you have to a new vehicle will by itself more than pay for the difference in fuel economy for years to come. Might save fuel, but you won't save any money.
I totally agree, but fuel economy is an emotional issue for a lot of people. Doesn't usually make much financial sense, but gives a lot of satisfaction nonetheless. My co-worker bought an $80,000 Tesla to save money on gas and was convinced that it made sense.
Anyway, most of the discussion here has been about HD 6.7 liter diesels which don't give much of a fuel economy benefit, but I was curious about the 3.0 liter Ram diesel for this application and how it would compare.
