I just purchased a host aspen sb. It was one of the east coast deals where I did the best research I could do, but it was purchased having never seen one in person. Just curious if anyone else on this...

Yep and Ford had a Short bed dually 350 and all single wheel 3500s and 2500s are typically called or considered heavy duty but no sense in arguing with the weight police on here, unless it's just for kicks! Haha
To the OP, yes that is quite a camper for a srw truck, but doesn't sound any heavier than the AF 811/860 models. Bedlam had the ultimate setup for a 2500 to haul this kind of weight, but the dealer wasn't totally lying to you. It is not suicide to throw airbags and the right tires on a 2500 and hit the road. It don't handle like a sportscar, but it's not bad all things considered....unless you are inexperienced with high CG loads.
