How can I find matching cabinetry and hardware?

Since we do not use the microwave, we are considering removing it and covering the vacant hole with a matching door and expand storage space. Our trailer is old enough that I don't know if I could get a matching door/hardware from Jayco or the dealership. Does anyone know how I should go about this?

Here's the cabinetry to the side of the microwave.

Here's the cabinetry from the other side.

  • Jayco is your best bet. Ours has the same cabinetry as yours, and last year our dealer damaged a cabinet door and they got the exact thing from Jayco to replace it with. When our last trailer was five years old I was able to get a can of the original stain from Jayco so that I could make some modifications I made look like the trailer came that way.

  • Check out horizoncabinetdoor.com Purchased doors and draw's from them to increase my storage area's in my TT
  • First......I would call the manufacturer of the RV. They may have one in stock.

Yes to a cabinet shop...however, a lot do not make their doors, they bring them in. Check around and see if you can find a local shop that makes doors. This will not be a standard cabinet (kitchen) door size so it will cost a bit more.

It doesn't look like hardware matching will be an issue. You will need to look and see how you are going to mount the doors. There are a variety of hinges.
  • Look on ebay. you never know when there might be the same size and color listed. OR you could make your own framing for the cabinet and instead of placing the "wood" in the center get a frosted plexy glass, then back light it from inside. That would probably be really nice. I am doing that for my bathroom door.

    Any good cabinet shop

+1 and the color looks like standard Golden Oak, so it should be easy to match.
  • I ordered matching doors for our rig from here.... Hardware was another story, I just found something close at the orange box and swapped it out with the bathroom hardware.

I would NOT count JAYCO out so quick.. They are one of the best company's that do things for their trailer sales... I would call them and have your VIN number handy and see what they say.

Is there another cabinet door in your trailer you can identify for JAYCO that will fit. If so I'm pretty sure you can order one from JAYCO.

I went to LOWES and did some different cabinet ideas but never found the exact face cut but when it got painted up no one but me noticed it being different.

One cabinet door I got from the bath room area and used it to cover a hole like you are describing. Then used a similar door from LOWES in the bath room... Out of sight haha... LOWES has a whole assortment of unpainted cabinet doors you can pick from.

I did notice on EBAY there was alot of doors for RV's... Myaybe you can luck out and find the same front cut design...

  • Don't know the dimensions of your nuker but were it me I'd prolly look for a standard blank door with a similar profile and cover it with a veneer if needed. Looks like an oak finish from the pic and of course I'm assuming it's actual wood.

Great source for veneers and possibly the actual door:

  • I'm just guessing but, I'll bet you will have to talk to a cabinet maker and have something custom made.
