- IndyCampExplorerIt doesn't really bother me.
I go camping to chill out and relax, not get worked up about minor stuff like someone walking through "my" campsite. I usually give them a "how's it goin'?" - gchackettExplorer

We boondock 99% of the time except for 5 days following Quartzsite. In this CG there is a row that completely blocks access to the lakefront from the rest of the CG unless you take a 5min detour. We make a point to walk on the edge of the campsite, but I'm not walking around because someone's panties are all bunched up thinking they "own" the entire plot. These sites are big enough to support me respectfully walking the perimeter. The whole point is this simply can't be a flat rule.
Sounds just like being to lazy to me. Its like people who circle parking lots multiple times so they don't have to walk an extra 20 feet, most of them look like they could use it too. If you can't be bothered for a 5 min detour then pony up the money and get your own lake front site. Just my opinion. - Dakota98ExplorerGO AHEAD..... Make my Day !!! :B
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIIt depends on a bunch of things. If they are polite, the campsite is big, and they are at the edges of it, and need to do it for some reason, then I don't have a problem with it.
It also depends on the type of park. Some are more layed back then others.
And, it dpendes on the weekend. On holiday weekends like the 4th of July everybody is in party mood. Then so am I and I don't care at times like that.
If they come right through the middle and are annoying then it's different. - spoon059Explorer II

Well, unless there is a public path to go between the sites, it simply IS a flat rule. I'm guessing the water front sites are quite a it more expensive that the sites that require a 5 minute walk...? - SCVJeffExplorer

I don't like it. But, some CG's are laid out that to get to the bathroom/shower would require a long long walk.
And your point would be? :h - WyoTravelerExplorer

One of the fields I own is on a dirt road, a hay field that was just mowed. I saw a pickup parked there and a guy walking around outside. I stopped and asked him what he wanted and he said "I didn't think anybody owned this land"
Some people are very stupid.
Sometimes they just drive in fenced farm property to hunt. I get the same reply. I have no tresspassing signs and some can't seem to read. All they have to do is knock on the door and ask - colliehaulerExplorer IIIThrough a borrowed brick at them. :E
Seriously I have never had problem with this. - eichacsjExplorer

Same way I feel about people walking through my living room. They lack common courtesy and respect for others.
X2. Camping etiquette is you don't invade someones camp site or gear. - VentureVanExplorerWhen possible I park my vehicle to make walking thru more difficult and I also put my camp table and chairs in a position to block people from walking thru.
