I know that is not the standard in Texas and probably isn't in any of the 50 states. If you shoot someone and don't want to spend the rest of your life as a guest of the state you better have a lot better tale to tell than "I shot them because I felt threatened".
Mr Camper, Read Texas CCW law. If you feel threatened you can shoot someone.
Certainly not the standard here in Canada, we don't even have guns; but we do get to shoot our mouths off. :B

- rbpruExplorer IIThe problem with unwritten laws, common sense behavior, and other such “known to all” rules; is that they are not known to all. Sometime a person has to be gently reminded what the rules on your property are.
When you ask “would this Klutz do this at home?” all too often the answer is yes. Loud parties, cutting through the neighbor’s yard, sprawling stuff over into others properties is not just limited to camp grounds. - Mr__CamperExplorer

I only have to follow the laws in the United States.
Please go back to my original post and read the text I quoted. If you still don't get it I suggest you read as many books on humor and it's various forms. Lighten up. - MKirklandExplorerWhat just makes me burn is when kids come zipping through your camp spot with their big wheel types and bikes throwing up dust and almost hitting me (KOA). That came to a screeching stop right away. I told the kids, management and blockaded their entry point. The particular camp site is open ended, but we like it for the room and vegetation. Got it for Labor day, so expect the worst again.
- Doug33ExplorerIt's been a mixed bag over the years, and it depends on a lot of factors. We were much more sensitive to it when we owned our PU. For the most part parents get to the CG and then let their kids loose, because they don't want to deal with them. I would never just let my kids run wild anywhere, let alone in a CG. But for some reason parents think "camping" just gives them free reign to let others monitor their kids. We've had kids play hide-and-seek running around our PU. I was certain they would trip and fall, and then their parents would sue us.
It's easier to tolerate in a TT, unless you are outside with kids running around.
The thing that irritates me even more is kids running around screamin and shouting at the top of their lungs. I don't mind people having a good time, but being outdoors suddenly gives kids license to be as obnoxious as they can. And it's obvious their parents don't keep that in check, and in some cases, probably get that behavior from them.
What's ironic on our last trip is that we had the persistent screaming and shouting from dozens of kids, but I can only remember one kid actually walking through our campsite. But it was probably because our site was one of the furthest from the bath house. That's usually a big factor, although regardless we've had plenty of kids on bicycles cut through our site in the past. - Passin_ThruExplorerMr Camper, Read Texas CCW law. - Passin_ThruExplorerI will put up a sign from now on saying, "Cross this lot and get shot. Ammo is expensive so no warning shots will be fired.!"
- hawkeye-08Explorer IIIWe try to make things too complex. It is simple, it is rude to walk through someone's campsite without permission. Most folks would not mind, but some will.
Last year, we had neighbors cutting through between our trailer and table, throwing their cigarette butts (still lit) on the ground or in our fire pit. It did not make sense to me because they could easily walk on the road or 20' around our site.
I was certainly annoyed (it interrupted my reading time and I allergic to cigarette smoke), but decided to let it ride... I now have a squir gun in my kitchen drawer and plan is to have it ready if needed to squirt out screen, oops, sorry did not think anyone would be there.
