Are you ever going to stop beating that old dead horse? Can't find anything with in the last few years to bash a Ford about?:R4x4ord wrote:
You get what you pay for. The more you spend the more you'll like your truck.
Until you start making payments, replace 20" tires the first time and check trade in a few years down the road. Or your CP4-2 pukes.
We need Spoon059 to call out the troll but the ram Mafia continues to get a free pass. I'm sure he try to spin this somehow. Until then the Mafia keeps going on and on and on- Bird_FreakExplorer II

Lol! I hope you're joking here.
Everyone is entitled to their personal favorites. Some folks cant stand the 11'-16' round hot-rod style dually fenders on my F450, while I prefer them to the new 17'+ Ford dually fenders. That might explain why I can't stand the Chevy styling....don't they know tires are round??...enough with the square fender openings LOL!
That being said, that new F450/trailer combo is one sexy beast! I think that styling might be growing on me! - larry_barnhartExplorer

I believe I complimented your rig some time ago.
Selective memory perhaps?
I remember you were very nice.

May be a little late in this thread to get an answer, but I am wondering about the available trailer camera system. It appears it is maybe geared for a bumper pull trailer. I watched a few videos on it and nothing was said about a fifth wheel. The idea of having a rear mounted camera that works with the display screen seems good. Also, the side mounted cameras might be nice for backing but hard to tell. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
There is an optional trailer camera and it will work with a fifth wheel. It is hard wired and the plug in on the truck is in the bumper by the license plate.
And yes, the rear cameras in the mirrors will help in backing. It will show down both sides of the fiver on the center screen at the same time. I am still getting use to them, but it is nice looking in one spot to see both sides of the trailer. - Me_AgainExplorer III

Probably going to place an order tomorrow for the F450 and upgrade from my 2016 F350 4X2. How is your bed clearance and camper height since the F450 is about 3 inches taller
That was a huge concern for me as well. The top of the bed on both the F350 and F450 is the same; even though the 450 has the 19.5 wheels. But the bed's are deeper. I'm using my old Reese hitch from my former 2015 F350 that Ford sells for the fifth wheel prep package. On my F350, I had the hitch in the middle height setting. So before I even put it in the F450, I raised it to the top height setting. Everything is perfect and the camper sits level. I haven't measured but I'd say I have at least 6" of clearance.
That's one of the best lookin rigs on RV.net!- lawnspecialtiesExplorer

If you haven't ordered your new truck yet, you might want to check Ricart Ford first. Just Google Ricart Ford in Columbus, Ohio.
I was going to order a truck but all three dealers in Raleigh couldn't even guess when it would arrive or even if it would arrive. Ford is supposedly way behind in demand and F450s aren't the biggest seller so they just aren't making too many.
I had certain options I insisted on and Ricart Ford had a truck exactly as if I had ordered one. Did the deal over the phone and two days later, it was in my driveway back in NC.
Their website says they still have 17 F450s left. 42 F350s.
