:) Hi, when I was looking for a new truck, I didn't know if I wanted a step or not. I don't remember the option cost. I had a list of deal breakers and must haves. If it was found with a step OK, if not OK. Mine came with the step and I really like it. The big plus with the step is the assist handle.
