Granted, I've never used one, but on the face of it, my first thought about the GM bumper step was, how is it very useful being only 3" lower than the top of the bumper to begin with? I didn't see the purpose in that. The tailgate step ladder seems like a pretty nice deal. Played with them at the dealership a few times. Hope my next truck has one.
