My old narrow ones were bolted on and folded up and under the rr overhang with 2 bungie cords. The new G.Steps have pins and keepers for the top, which are hard to remove easily.
Just a caution for those that just remove them from the bar and store inside. I did that one time and the edge of the steps put a hole in the screen and and dent in the fiberglass door that remains distinctive, lo these many years later.
