- RedskyExplorerI went to solar panels in part not to have to carry around gas cans with my diesel truck. If I was going to carry it around it would be in plastic gas cans tied to my roof rack on the camper.
With solar there is nothing to turn on, nothing to shut off, nothing to fuel or maintain. The solar works 365 days of the year and requires none of my time to do anything at all. - mooring_productExplorer

I need to do this mode to my 881 in a bad way. - Gary3ExplorerSteelhog if you don't mine spending $5.70 for a gal of premium gas come over to your northern neighbour no ethanol.
- av8rdsExplorerI keep my Honda 2000 tank full and have it under the dinette. NEVER even a wisp of gas smell.
- loggenrockExplorerWe installed a Rotopax 2g can and mount right on the square tube bumper of my buddies NL. Fits great - carries well - LOCKS! (Sure - unscrew the cap and siphon it out - the contents cost a lot less than the container on this one!!!). If you are not familiar check out www.rotopax.com (sorry - no clicky..). ST
- GeewizardExplorerI carry two 5L/1.5gal NATO gas cans in the generator compartment. I found the cans for much cheaper than the site I listed. Ditto for the 20L/5gal cans below.
I can also carry two 20L/5gal NATO gas cans on the back of the TC in these can holders. These I used only on longer trips in Alaska and Canada where fuel might be a problem. Kinda doubt I'll need them down here in the Lower 48 for any trips. Might just get two blue cans and carry water instead. - AISURFFISHExplorer
I keep it where the propane generator would have been.
And yes I run it while the door is down.
There is just enough room over it to wedge in a 1.5 gallon tank for reserve.
Its open on the inside and exhaust goes out the mesh..
Going on 9 years no problems. - sleepyExplorerIn our two 30 pound propane tanks... just a push of a button away.
- SteelhogExplorerI may have missed it, but one of my big considerations is to find Ethanol free gas for all my portable power equipment. Not as cheap but much more stable in between trips. Regular these days has a shelf life of 6 weeks before it starts to go sour.
