Whatever you tow with or drive, never let your tank get below 1/3. I have gone through the stress and worry about running out of gas. Frequent fill ups keep you rolling, let you stretch your legs and get a snack or meal. So, with my truck that has a 25 gallon tank, I fill back up when I'm down to about 8 gallons.
