How far can you tow prior to fill up?

36 gallon tank. 8-9.5 mpg. 325 miles if lucky. 250 is the worst I've seen with 275-290 being typical.
I preplan fuel stops for most trips, or at least have a list of good stations every 100 miles or so after the first 250 miles.
As most everyone else pointed out, the DW or kids have to stop before the truck does. That's why I have possible stops every 100 miles.
