pretty normal for manufacturers. They have a dealer and distributor network to channel their product through.
When you click "buy it now" on www.torklift.com, you get a popup window to fill out your contact info... which then gets sent to a dealer, who then contacts you to sell you the product.... hence the reason there was an indication it might take 5 days to ship.
