I test drove a 2013 2500 before buying my 2014. The difference in ride with the rear coil springs in the 2014 when compared to the leafs in the 2013 is night and day. It's still a truck, and rides firm, but the ride is much improved.
Those who imply the coils are "wimpy" have no idea what they are talking about. The ride is better, yet they still have the ability to carry heavy loads without the saggy rear end look. I think I've proven and tested that with my videos and pictures. They likely think that because of the 1500 Ram. It has coils, and will sag quite a bit under load.
The current F250 sags way more than a Ram 2500 with coils.
There is also the option of the air suspension in the Ram 2500 if that interests you.
