As with all questions like this, there are two schools of thought- 1 is to adhere strictly to all the numbers as "never exceed under any circumstances". The second is to apply a little bit of logic and look at the actual nuts and bolts of your truck versus a 3500 SRW or even a dually. I used to own a 2005 2500HD, and after doing the research was the only tangible difference between the 2500HD and the 3500 were three things- rear spring pack, tires and wheels, and door sticker. All other components were identical. You've addressed the first two, you just need to decide whether the third factor matters.
