People love to argue trivial things over the internet. The truth of the matter is that your brakes have no clue WHERE that weight is, and they don't care. So long as your axles are all getting sufficient weight to maintain proper contact with the ground, thus allowing for full braking power, it doesn't matter if you have that weight on the truck (over GVWR, under GCWR) or that weight in the trailer (under GVWR, under GCWR). Anything else is pure conjecture. Your brakes don't know, they don't care.
