That pretty much sums up what I would suggest as well, and for sure on number 1, that's why it's listed as the first item.
Extended cab trucks well get cramped (lack of leg room, and a seat back that is so close to 90 degrees (vertical) that it gets uncomfortable after 30 minutes.
