Well even assuming you were willing to pay his asking price of $18,000 a set of tires will cost you a minimum of $1000 Cdn, weight distribution / sway control anywhere from $500 to $1000 or more, so if you have to cover those costs yourself you'd want to deduct that from your offer. Unfortunately the reality is you'll also have to pay 13% tax as well so what at first glance may seem to be a "decent deal" may not be quite so unless you can convince the seller to agree to a lower price.
