I haven't had this exact experience but I purchased a TT from a deal that was three hours from me and about a year later needed some warranty work done. After speaking to the manufacturer they gave me the o.k. to contact a local RV repair facility, have them document the issues and contact the manufacturer. They managed to work out a deal for compensation to do the warranty work with me not having to pay anything out of pocket.
In your situation I would push to get a recommendation from the manufacturer regarding a repair shop near you that they have some experience working with and a commitment from the manufacturer that they will work with that repair shop to do any warranty work needed.
