Your Ford hitch is rated for a 12,500 lb trailer, with a tongue wt of 1,250. As you can see that is figuring 10 percent on tongue wt. In reality a 10,000 lb trailer, loaded wt, not dry wt, would be near your limit. Most times tongue wt will be closer to 12.5 percent.
