Although we like the idea of off road camping, after a couple pulls along dirt roads where the cupboard contents got spilled and busted, the rig was so dusty it took hours to clean, and the undercarriage was caked with mud and dirt, we found we just lost the desire to go there very often. Now we look for off season camping rather than off road. You can have almost empty campgrounds, and they can be driven too on paved roads. For off season, again, quality and weight count for comfort. Double windows, thick walls and insulation.
