- GrandpaKipExplorer IIHopefully, our kids will inherit this one.
Our previous camper had a perfect floor plan for us, but, due to my ignorance, fell apart.
Now, definitely older, supposedly a bit wiser, we want this one to be our last one. So, planning on 10 to 15 years more to the 3 on it now.
We don’t replace anything until it is slap wore out. - mhsmithExplorerOurs is 17 this month and still enjoy it. I wont hesitate to tow it across country.
- camp-n-familyExplorerWe seem to be on a 4yr average. Looking for a new fiver as we speak.
- fla-gypsyExplorerMine's 13.5 years old and still looks pretty good
- downtheroadExplorer....and then there are us who every time we "upgrade" to a new trailer, we have to get a bigger tow vehicle also.....
It never ends. - K_CharlesExplorerTent
Had money enough for a pickup camper
Kids got bigger and we got a new TT
Had enough cash to buy another new one and kids were older
Kids are gone and we got a MH
Time didn't have much to do with it, life changes made it happen.
2+, 2, 11, 10, 7, and 3 years so far. We still have the tent and the MH - MitchF150Explorer IIII'll let you know when it happens! Still on my first RV that I've personally owned.. Got it brand new in July 2002.
Done a lot of mods to it over the years, so it still works for us.

Ten years is the longest we've kept one only because DW was in love with it. Unless you enjoy maintaining older trailers, they get outdated and begin deteriorating around the seven year mark. If it weren't for my wife's wants, I'd opt for a smaller TT like a Winnebago Micro Minnie 21'~ or similar and trade for new every three or four years.
Good rule of thumb for future plans! Thanks.
And similar sentiments to go for the small ones (just avoided the newbie mistake of buying the big luxurious ones and get a big truck to haul it -- that stuck and groaning slides saved me, lol). - HannibalExplorerTen years is the longest we've kept one only because DW was in love with it. - allen8106ExplorerMy first RV, 23 foot 1984 used Jayco TT kept it one year.
Bought a 32 foot 2007 new Puma TT, kept it 4 years.
Bought a 34 foot 2010 new in early 2011 Jayco 5ver and still have it.
