That's a tough one to definitively answer, because life has way of changing things. I kept my 2003 f150 for ten years, and 160k miles, but it had to do DD duty as well as tow/haul as needed. Next was a 2013 f250 gasser that I thought I would have a long time. Loved it! Then the diesel bug hit because I want a 5th wheel! So I took a hit on that one, and bought my current 2015 f350 diesel. As much as I loved the f250, I love this one that much more, and will keep it till it cost more to repair than it's worth. I now have a car, and a motorcycle for commuting, so the truck mileage stays very low. Could be a 20 year truck, UNLESS DW, and I get a wild hair and decide when we retire that we want a motor home instead. Who knows? If that happens, I'll switch back to a gas truck.
So that's my story (And I'm stickin to it)!
