15 years hopefully, will be happy to get 20 years and pass it on to one of my kids. Then buy my retirement vehicle. I've taken excellent care of my vehicles over the years and live out west, so no real issues with salt either. We'll see, all it takes is someone slamming into your rig because their head was down and reading their facebook postings on their phone or something.
I have a 2008 Chevy 2500HD with the duramax and planned to keep it forever... I just passed 100,000 miles. 4 weeks ago I was t- boned resulting in $12,000 damage. I sat on pins and needles awaiting the verdict from the insurance company - they decided to fix it (thankfully). I did choose my own body shop - a specialty hot Rodder/classic restorer! I may pay more than the insurance allowance, but I'll argue my case when I need to. With any luck my truck will be as good as before, slightly better. Instead of repairing the bedside I found a complete box, tailgate, and bumper for less than the cost of repair!
I plan to keep this truck awhile... it's just broke in.
