Yes I read into it that if the wheel was round, control could have been maintained and the wall could have been saved.
Otherwise why mention the wheel?
I could totally see that being the case. Pursuant to my post above, you, me, the Tesla driver and literally everyone else have been conditioned and trained since we were toddlers and continue to be that there is a wheel to grab onto where a steering wheel should be.
Same principle, why do you think hydro assist steering is illegal (push pull cylinder like on off road rigs)? Because it does not follow established standards.
