How many of you pull a 5er with a standard bed?

I don't need a 8' bed do I? Now (unless the scales show me differently) I can do a 3/4 ton instead of a 1 ton... I really want to keep this vehicle as compact as I can.. We will do a little off roa...

GVW is 13800... We are guessing at the hitch weight. I pick it up on April 1st and I'll know for sure then...
Thanks everyone for telling me what I want to hear for a change LOL...
I'm prepared to buy whatever I need, if I don't like it, I have no problem dumping it and buying something else, none. Hell, I might even do it in the middle of trip if I'm uncomfortable. This whole rig is for me to test the waters...
