How minimal of clearance is okay between cab and cabover?
Just switched from a dodge to a ford. I had about 2" of clearance. On the ford, there is about 1/2" to an inch. Is that a problem? I think it would help with aerodynamics.

Yeah, one good bump and you're going to end up with one big dent in your truck's roof.
Do NOT put anything in between the camper and roof. That will just cause a bigger dent. The sheet metal on modern trucks is paper thin and crumples with little to no effort.
