How much wind is dangerous?
All these storms moving through here got me thinking. What wind speed makes you pull over and wait it out?

Surrounding terrain can also be a factor, enhancing damage that winds can do, even at relatively low velocity. The area just south of Cheyenne, WY is frequently subject to strong winds, that are exacerbated by the open terrain and the angle of the interstate in that particular area. Semis are frequently blown over on that stretch, I've seen a dozen or more rigs on their sides at various times in that area.
