How often should wheel bearings be repacked?

I do every other year, which is about 7-8,000 miles. Once a year is ridiculous. I went 2 years after I purchased it. Did them last year, will do them in 2018.
If you have a Grand Design then as soon as you buy it. Many grease seal failures.
