I'm wondering if anyone has found or has fabricated a Hitch Stinger Trail Bike Carrier for behind a Truck Camper that will allow access into the back of the camper without removing the Dirt Bike from the rack. Its 20 inches from the Stinger edge to the back edge of the camper. I have a long draw bar solid steel stinger that I use for the Harley Trailer.I know this is asking a lot. I just don't want to haul my HARLEY Trailer if I can find a way to haul the Honda CRF250L on the back of the camper.We are headed to southern Utah on Tuesday....WhooHoo....darn without the trail bike.HAPPY TC'ing everyone,Gary & Laurii

Front bumpers on trucks these does don't have the capability to accommodate installing those olcd school carriers that trucks of the 60s, 70s and 80s could use. There's also fascias in the way that would prevent installing any type of clamp on device to the bumper.Then there's the issue of the bike blocking the visibility as well as the headlights, even if you "could" carry it up front.

I found putting my XR400 on the front was the most convenient. Even though i could put it on the back it was a pain there. Also i usually wanted to tow something.

Front hitch. The hitches are rated at 500#...which should be enough for a 250...

I did not show the Ratchet Strap that will tie the front of the Bike to the Camper and I have locking Anti-Rattle and Anti-Theft Hitch Pins for both locations on the Stinger and the Drop Hitch. I'm sure there will be some bounce but things sure are tight.

Not concerned if the bike can take the bouncing but wondering if the mount will.

On the rear there may be quite a bit of bouncing with a couple hundred pounds hanging 2'-3' off the hitch.

I think you mean the Ultimate MX Hauler?

If it were me, I'd mount it on the front hitch regardless.

I finally answered my own post from way back. I bit the bullet and mounted up a ULTIMATE MX HAULER on my extended Hitch Stinger. I may be shortening the Extension from 36 inch to 24 inch more measurements required. Now my CRF250L will be traveling along behind the EC950 camper as soon we loose a bit more snow here in Stanley Idaho. 43 inches of snow still. UGH!!!

FYI being a HAM Radio operator I have a large HF Screw Driver Antenna mounted on the Front Hitch Stinger.

How heavy is this antenna? Could you not put the bike rack on the front and then mount the antenna to the front of the bike rack? You could weld or have someone weld a receiver tube onto the front of the bike rack allowing you to put this antenna in the same way.

The Front Stinger is such a great idea. My problem is I have too many hobbies. I installed a Curt Front Hitch Mount back in 2012 and have been continuously using it for my HAM RADIO antenna mount. I have a High Q Screwdriver HF antenna mounted there. Which by the way my Wife doesn't really like. However, HAM Radio wins out, I have been a HAM since 1964 and and we have have only been married since 1969 so Wife gets to admire my Antenna as we travel and I get to try to figure out a mount for the Dirt Bike on the back. Front hitch, no brainer in my book. Been doing it for years with no problems at all.
