How to inflate dually tires?

Congrats on the new RAM! Duallys are a pain no way around it. They tires will be more of an inconvenience than your old truck but will provide a lot more stability when towing. I think you'll be surprised especially when its windy. I use both a flexible gauge and a fixed one. One seems to work better on the inside & outside tire. Get a good TPMS if you don't have one. Also when you get the tires rotated make sure they lined up the valve stem of inner rear tire in the proper location so its accessible. You would think this would be common sense.

I have the same digital inflator that you have, I cut off the locking end and replaced it with a air hose 1/4" "quick-connect" so I can switch between a tire chuck with lock-On lever to do regular tires and a dual chuck tire inflator for getting into the inner tires, easy-peezzeey

Sorry, didn't mean to be offensive. Just kind of seemed a little excessive to pay someone to check air pressure. There's a reason for everything I guess.

Six tires crawling around on my old knees. It's not lazy it's self preservation.

Nitrogen filled tires will still expand and contract, Boyle's Law says so. They will expand and contract less than gas that has water vapor in the mix however.

The valve stem can't be on the other side of the rims, because the brakes are in the way.

It would only work on the outer rear tires. You couldn't get at the valve stems on the fronts or the inner rears due to the brakes covering them up.

Air contains 78% nitrogen - You will be fine filling up with a standard compressor and do not need to worry about interaction with what is currently in the tires.

One of my neighbors walked down to admire the new truck last night and he was giving it the full once-over. When he looked at the tires, he said "ooooh...nigrogen...fancy". I didn't know what he was talking about, but he told me that the green valve caps with the N on them meant that the previous owner aired them up with nitrogen. He said that he fills his Corvette tires with nitrogen to avoid expansion and contraction from temperature changes. He told me about the shop where he goes and said that he pays $10 PER TIRE!!!

Tipping somebody ten bucks to fill your tires is a nice luxury, but paying $60 to air up all my tires is insane.

I assume I can mix regular old air with the nitrogen that may or may not already be in there.
