Yeah..I tried one of those.
Didn't care for it. Bracket is flimsy, spring doesn't hold it as tight to tank wall, can't cover it with insulating foam so t-stat is exposed to air and water. Contacts become corroded and adjustment screw gets hard to turn.

Tossed it and went back to fixed t-stat.
