How to reinsert the ceiling panels' plastic joint trim?

The trailer had a rain leak from a newly installed(improperly) vent. I first sealed the vent topside with sufficient Dicor lap sealant. Then, to clean the stains and to dry it out, I removed the trim from the bottom of the vent. The ceiling panels join at the vent and unfortunately, a stain also extended along the plastic joint trim between two ceiling panels and over to one wall. I removed this trim piece by easily sliding it out at the vent opening. Once cleaned and dried, it doesn't seem possible to reinsert the trim piece. Do you know a proper way to do this?

If it is the "T" shaped where the bottom of the "T" sits in the channel, mine snapped in with no sliding at all.

I'll try that. Thank you, Korbe. Merry Christmas!
