How to tell year of Palomino 186

Question

Elderly lady up the road has a Palomino pop up truck camper for sale. I looked at it but neither of us know what year it is. I have a pic of the model/ser# plate, mod says 186, (ser # 8ct5779). Any way to tell the year by this ?

Bronco 186 is the model name, and  Palomino made it from 1982 through 1992, inclusive. Serial number may provide a clue where in there yours falls, if you can find others to compare it to.

Doesn't the ID plate have the date of manufacture on it?

Ok, my Palomino had 2 digits in the serial number before the letters ct and they indicated the last two digits of the year of manufacture; something like this: 87ct5995
