How to turn off outside speakers on a Arctic Fox 811

The subject says it all, 2015 AF 811S.
Kenwood stereo. Fader and balance controls
each affect one inside and one outside speaker.
So I believe the unit is wired wrong, but maybe
disconnecting the outside leads is the easiest answer.
Thanks in advance for your help.
  • Hmmmm.... I can't remember how mine were originally wired. I ended up installing switches so I could cut off the outside speakers. I think the outside were connected to the same stereo leads as the main living area speakers.... which is an odd way to install them since it screws up the ohms/impedance stuff.
  • Should be connected to the stereo. I'd pull it and remove wires for the temporary fix.
  • Hopefully an AF owner might verify- or dealer/mfg.
But if (sounds like only a pair of speakers inside) the balance doesnt change power between the 2 inside speaker, means no left or right channel-no stereo?.
I could see using fader control either outside or inside. But description makes it sound like speakers are split inside/outside by either left channel or right instead of front to back-which I would agree wrong (if its stereo). Odd
