The issue I would bring up would be is, how well is this going to look after you put your hard work into this. Definitely NOT saying you work wouldn't look good, but from what I've seen most people don't do this kind of exterior work on the entrance level TT's. If you do make the change and decide to sell afterwords...might have a harder time selling...just my 2 cents. :)
