Hydro-flame Furnace has intermittant squeal

Hello to you all, I have a '90 lynx TT with a Hydro-flame 79/80 furnace. My problem is that it is now making a squeal at start up then comes and goes while running, sometimes I can get it to stop with a tap on the furnace cover but not always. Is this a maintenance issue (lube) or a part replacement. I read in the manual that there is annual maintenance for the blower wheels but doesn't say how to do it. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it very much, thanks for your time, Mike

    Thank you for the responses, I think I will replace the motor and give it a good cleaning. Does anyone have a good resource for finding and buying the motor?

    Ours did that when not used for a long time.Mind you we almost never used the furnace.Wonder if lube dries up.

    You can remove, clean, and oil it. But, after going to all the trouble to remove it you might as well put a new fan motor in there while you got it out. Still don't forget to clean it once you have it out. I removed one once and shook a whole coffee can of mud dauber nest's out of it after I took it out.

    Sounds like you need to do a through cleaning job.

    That means you will need to remove furnace from cabinet in order to get to blower motor and blower/combustion wheels to clean and lightly oil.

    Here is a service manual........pg. 39 shows exploded view of your model
