I have no fear of driving an older vehicle. I own a 2003 3/4 ton Suburban with 140k miles on it and plan to drive it many more years. I actually have had it less than 2 years, to me it is nearly new. :) You need to know a vehicle's weaknesses and make sure they are addressed and fix/replace anything that is like to fail at an older age. I'm fine with preventative replacement of some items. Much cheaper than a new vehicle. Blowing spark plugs do make me nervous. Is there anything you can do to make sure another one doesn't do the same thing? Is there a preventative fix for the plugs on these motors?
