I owned a 98 ram 3/4 extended cab v10. Auto. Nice truck towed great. After 2 yrs I added up all the parts I had bought. ( I only needed a 1/2 ton for the previous camper) I bought a new 2012 1500 truck and made payments for what I spent in parts on the 98. Not to mention my time. A new truck doesn't have to be 60 thousand. Buy a new last years model in December. New, warranty and no headaches. You will make payments either way. The question is whether you make them with your time and parts purchases or with your wallet.
